HOW TO CLEAR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES WITHOUT SCANTOOL

The diagnostic trouble codes will be erased when the battery terminal or the engine control module connector is disconnected (with the ignition in the "OFF" position).

NOTE: If a DTC is erased, its "freeze frame" data will be also erased and the readiness test status will be reset. If necessary, take a note of the "freeze frame" data before erasing the DTC.
