HOW TO CLEAR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES WITH SCANTOOL

The diagnostic trouble code can be erased by turning the ignition switch to ON and sending the diagnostic trouble code erase signal from the scan tool to the engine control module.

NOTE: If a DTC is erased, its "freeze frame" data will be also erased and the readiness test status will be reset. If necessary, take a note of the "freeze frame" data before erasing the DTC.
