Convertible Top Weatherstrip: Adjustments

NOTE:
1. The illustrations at left show the topstack in the closed position while measuring the distances between the rails and the weather strip holders at the front and rear screws of each holder. However, the topstack can be either fully open or closed.
2. The specifications shown in the illustrations are based on optimal design positions under ideal conditions. However, real-world conditions must be considered, such as, normal wear-and-tear; variance in parts (old versus new); variance in vehicle build; etc. Therefore, some or all of the specifications may not be fully attainable. Use these specifications as a guide, reference, or a base-line for adjustment purposes.
3. The weather strip must be removed from the holder to take the measurement, and to make adjustment if necessary

1. At the side of the vehicle requiring holder adjustment, either open the vehicle door or lower the window.
2. Remove the weather strip from the weather strip holder requiring adjustment.
3. Measure the distance between the rail and the holder according to the illustrations at left. Note that the measurements are to be taken at the location of the holder attaching screws.
4. If adjustment is required, loosen the holder screws, adjust as necessary, and tighten the screws.
5. Reinstall the removed weather strip.
