Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair
<2.0L ENGINE (NON-TURBO)>
Removal
Pre-removal Operation:
- Under cover Removal.
Follow removal steps outlined in illustration.
Removal Service Point
[A] Heated Oxygen Sensor
For 2.0L Engine (Non-turbo), the exhaust manifold threads must be cleaned with an 18 mm (0.7 inch) x 1.5 + 6E tap after the heated oxygen sensor has been disconnected.
Installation
Installation in reverse order as removal.
Installation Service Point
]A[ Heated Oxygen Sensor
If reusing the original sensor, coat the sensor threads with an antiseize compound such as Loctite 771-64 or equivalent. New sensors have compound on the threads and do not require an additional coating.
Post-installation Operation:
- Under cover Installation.
<2.0L ENGINE (TURBO)-FWD>
Removal

- Under Cover Removal.
