Oil Pan: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Drain engine oil.
2. Remove oil level gauge.
3. Remove front exhaust pipe.
4. Remove the bell housing cover, gasket and oil pan.

CAUTION: Perform this slowly to avoid deformation of the oil pan flange.





NOTE: After removing the oil pan mounting bolts, remove the oil pan with the oil pan gasket cutter tool No. MD998727, or equivalent, and a brass bar.

5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Ensure that the oil pan mounting bolt holes in the oil seal case are cleaned prior to installation.





- Replace the gasket with a new one, and install it in the direction shown.
