Output Shaft: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLY
Follow disassembly steps outlined in illustration.

NOTE: Disassembly service points as follows:





A. Taper roller bearings removal. (1 & 2)
Remove the taper roller bearings using the special tool.

NOTE:
- Do not reuse the bearing removed from the shaft.
- Replace the inner and outer races of the taper roller bearing as a set.

ASSEMBLY
Assembly in reverse order as Disassembly.

NOTE: Assembly service points as follows:





A. Taper roller bearings installation. (2)
Install the taper roller bearing using the special tool.

NOTE: Apply the special tool to the inner race only when installing the bearing.





B. Taper roller bearings installation. (1)
Install the taper roller bearing using the special tool.

NOTE: Apply the special tool to the inner race only when installing the bearing.
