Removal and Replacement






REMOVAL
1. Drain power steering fluid.
2. Follow removal steps outlined in illustration.

NOTE: Removal service points as follows:





a. Suction hose/pressure hose removal (2 & 3).

CAUTION: Generator is below the oil pump, so cover the generator with a shop towel before removing any of the hoses.

INSPECTION
1. Check the drive-belt for cracks.
2. Check the pulley assembly for uneven rotation.

INSTALLATION
Installation in reverse order as removal.

NOTE: Installation service points as follows:





a. Pressure hose installation (3).
Connect the pressure hose so that its notch part contacts the suction connector.

NOTE: Operational steps after installation as follows:
1. Power Steering Fluid Supplying.
2. Drive-belt Tension Adjusting.
3. Power Steering Fluid Line Bleeding. Service and Repair
4. Oil Pump Pressure Check.
