Parking Brake Lever: Testing and Inspection

LEVER STROKE CHECK

Pull the parking brake lever with a force of approximately 196 N (44 lbs.) and count the number of notches. The correct (standard) value is 3 - 5 notches for drum-in-disc brakes.

CAUTION: The 196 N (44 lbs.) force of the parking brake lever must be strictly observed.
