Fuel Pump: Service and Repair












SERVICE POINTS OF REMOVAL
Pulling the lever, raise the front of the seat cushion and remove the seat cushion.
(1) Remove the rear seat cushion.
(2) Remove the protector.






(3) Disconnect the hoses and connectors to remove the fuel pump assembly or fuel gauge unit. The fuel pump unit is secured by an external bolt and seal, located below the fuel pump at the underside of the tank. This must be removed before fuel pump assembly can be replaced.
(4) Align the packing positioning projections with the holes in the fuel pump assembly.
(5) Replace seal on outer fuel tank pump retainer bolt to prevent fuel leakage and install bolt.
Torque Specification: 22 N.m (16 ft.lbs)






INSTALLATION OF SEAT CUSHION
(a) Securely insert the attachment wire of the rear cushion into under the hinge bracket of the seat back.
(b) Pass the rear seat belt buckle.
(c) Securely insert the hook of the seat cushion into the seat support bracket.
