Removal

Remove knuckle and hub assembly in numbered sequence, Fig. 4, noting the following:
1. Loosen driveshaft nut with vehicle on floor and brakes applied.
2. Loosen, but do not remove, tie rod end nut.
3. Remove and suspend caliper assembly out of the way using a piece of wire.
4. Shift the knuckle to the outside in order to maintain the clearance between the front hub assembly mounting bolts and the driveshaft. Do not damage the ball joint boot.
5. On models with ABS, ensure to not damage rotor.
