Inspection

Check all steering gear components and repair or replace as necessary.
1. Check rack support for uneven wear.
2. Check rack support spring for deterioration.
3. Check cushion rubber for cracking.
4. Check rack and pinion for worn or damaged tooth surfaces.
5. Check ball bearings and needle roller bearings for uneven rotation.
6. Check ball joint dust cover for cracks.
