Removal and Installation

1. Drain brake fluid from reservoir.
2. On models equipped with manual transaxle, remove clutch fluid reservoir bracket.
3. Remove center member assembly mounting bolts, engine mount bracket, A/C compressor mounting bolts, A/C high pressure hose clamp mounting bolts and power steering pressure hose, pipe and return pipe clamp mounting bolts.
4. Remove brake fluid reservoir from mounting bracket, then disconnect brake tubes at master cylinder.
5. Remove bolts securing master cylinder to power booster, then remove cylinder from vehicle.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Adjust brake booster pushrod clearance as outlined under Adjustments.
b. Bleed master cylinder and brake system as outlined under Brake System Bleed.
