Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit:

OPERATION
The VSS uses a magnetic reed type switch. As the speedometer cable turns, the switch turns on and off (opening and closing the circuit). The Engine Control Module (ECM) interprets this signal as the vehicle speed.
