Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Release fuel system pressure as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
2. Drain engine coolant into an appropriate container.
3. Remove air intake plenum as outlined previously.

4. Replace intake manifold in numbered sequence shown, Fig. 12.

Fig. 13 Intake Manifold Gasket Installation:

5. Install gaskets with protrusions in position shown, Fig. 13.
6. Apply lubricant sparingly to intake manifold mounting nuts.
