Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

Oil Temperature Sensor Inspection:

1. Disconnect the oil temperature sensor connector.
2. Measure the resistance between the oil temperature sensor connector terminals.

Resistance
8.0 - 8.2 ohms at 20° F (68 °F)
0.57 - 0.69 ohms at 100 ° F (212 °F)

3. If the measured resistance does not match the value shown, replace the oil temperature sensor.
