Line Pressure Adjustment



1. Drain fluid and remove oil pan and filter assembly.
2. Remove oil temperature sensor.
3. Press solenoid valve harness grommet and connector into transaxle case.
4. Remove valve body assembly. Use care not to drop manual valve.

5. Turn regulator valve adjustment screw and adjust so that line pressure is 124-127 psi, Fig. 20. When adjustment screw is turned clockwise with the solenoid valves pointed up, the line pressure is lowered; when adjustment screw is turned counterclockwise with the solenoid valves pointed up, the line pressure is raised. Each 360° turn of adjustment screw adjusts line pressure approximately 5 psi.

6. Ensure O-ring is installed on upper surface of valve body as shown, Fig. 21.
7. Install new solenoid valve harness grommet O-ring.
8. Install harness grommet into case.

9. Install valve body and oil temperature sensor. Tighten valve body bolts to specifications, referring to Fig. 22 and 23 for correct bolt length position.
a. Positions marked A use 0.709 inch long bolts.
b. Positions marked B use 0.984 inch long bolts.
c. Positions marked C use 1.575 inch long bolts.
10. Install oil filter, new oil pan gasket, oil pan and ATF.
11. Ensure transaxle oil pressure is correct. Readjust as necessary.
