Power Steering Pressure Switch: Description and Operation

PURPOSE/OPERATION
The power steering load switch provides a signal to the engine control module when there is steering load. The engine control module uses this information for idle speed control. When pump output pressure exceeds a preset level, the switch closes, completing the circuit to ground.
