Air Bypass Valve: Testing and Inspection

Air Cleaner, Air Piping And Components (Turbocharged):

1. Remove the Air Bypass Valve.

Air Bypass Valve Operational Test Hook-up:

2. Connect a hand vacuum pump to the fitting of the air bypass valve.
3. Apply a vacuum of approx. 16 in-Hg. Check that the valve starts to open, and that the valve holds vacuum without bleeding off.
