Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

PURPOSE/OPERATION
The intake air temperature sensor is a thermistor which measures intake air temperature as a resistance value. The resistance of the sensor increases as temperature decreases. The engine control module modifies fuel injection duration according to the intake air temperature signal.
