Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service and Repair

DISARMING
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery and tape the terminal.
2. Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the battery cable before doing any further work.

ARMING
1. Connect battery ground cable.
2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
3. Does the "SRS" warning light illuminate for about 7 seconds, and then remain off for at least 5 seconds after turning off?
4. If yes, SRS system is functioning properly. If no, consult troubleshooting.
