Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge refrigerant into an approved recovery device as outlined in Heating and Air Condition.
2. Disconnect suction hose and liquid pipe from evaporator.

3. Remove glove compartment stoppers, then the glove compartment, Fig. 38.
4. Remove lower frame, then the right-hand foot shower duct, if applicable.
5. Disconnect body wiring harness and A/C wiring harness connectors.
6. Remove A/C control unit.
7. Remove drain hose, then the evaporator.

8. Remove evaporator core from case as shown, Fig. 39.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
