Oil Pan: Service and Repair

1. Drain engine oil into an appropriate container.

2. On models with active aero system, remove front lower cover in numbered sequence as shown, Fig. 23, then install air dam link assembly in operative condition for ease of front lower cover panel installation.
3. Remove engine lower cover.
4. Remove front exhaust pipe.
5. Remove transfer assembly as outlined under Transfer Case.

6. Replace oil pan and screen in numbered sequence as shown, Fig. 39.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Apply a 0.16 inch diameter bead of sealant around oil pan flange.

b. Tighten oil pan bolts in sequence as shown, Fig. 40.
