Fig. 42 Exploded View Of Power Steering Pump:

1. Disassemble power steering pump in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 42.
2. Reverse numbered sequence shown in Fig. 42 to assemble, noting the following:
a. If flow control valve is to be replaced, match identification mark on housing with mark on valve.
b. Install flow control spring, flow control valve and connector to pump body.
c. Install rotor with the countersunk portion toward pump cover side.
d. Ensure rotor snap ring is installed correctly.

e. Install vanes in rotor as shown in Fig. 38.
f. Align dowel pin with dowel pin holes when installing cam ring with punch mark at pump body side.
