Rotor

1. Check for continuity between slip rings. If resistance is low or there is no continuity, replace rotor. Resistance value is approximately 3.1 ohms.
2. Check rotor for ground by checking continuity between slip ring and rotor core. If continuity exists, replace rotor assembly.
