Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments

PROCEDURE

1. Turn the Ignition Switch to ON (do not start engine) and check that the Throttle Position Sensor output voltage is as specified. Using special service tool (09351-33000) connect a digital-type voltmeter. If the scan tool is used, press code No. 14 and read the voltage.

Voltage: 480 - 520 m volts.

2. If it is out of specification, loosen the Throttle Position Sensor mounting screws and adjust by turning the Throttle Position Sensor. Turning the Throttle Position Sensor clockwise increases the output voltage. Tighten the screws securely after adjustment.

Tightening torque: 1.5 - 2.5 Nm (1.1 - 1.8 lb ft)
