Compression Check: Testing and Inspection

Ensure engine oil, starter motor and battery are in satisfactory condition. When checking compression, engine coolant should be at normal operating temperature, spark plugs should be removed and throttle valve should be wide open. The correct compression pressures at engine cranking speed is 119 psi minimum. Difference between cylinders should not exceed 14 psi.
