Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

Remove stabilizer bar in numbered sequence, Fig. 28 and 29, noting the following:
1. Front exhaust pipe must be removed.
2. Pull both ends of stabilizer bar to rear of driveshaft.
3. Move right side of bar until it clears lower arm.
4. Pull stabilizer bar out right side.
5. Check stabilizer bar ball joint starting torque; torque should be 15-28 inch lbs. If starting torque exceeds specified torque, replace stabilizer link.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
