Purpose, Vehicles Affected, And Materials Required

Some 1990-94 Eclipses may require adjustment of the door and/or door window to prevent the window from binding, tilting, or coming out of its tracks. This bulletin describes several procedures that may reduce the incidence of many abnormal door window conditions.

VEHICLES AFFECTED

Any 1990-94 Eclipse may be affected. The condition can be found on both manual and power window equipped vehicles.

DESCRIPTION

If a customer complains that the door or door window on their 1990-94 Eclipse is difficult to operate and/or out of adjustment, perform the following procedures, in order, until satisfactory door window operation is obtained.

Removal, adjustment, and installation procedures not fully explained in this bulletin can be found in the appropriate vehicle's service manual.

MATERIALS

The following materials will be needed to complete the procedures described in this bulletin:

- Service Manual, Volume 1 (1990, 1991, or 1992-94 Eclipse, depending on vehicle)

- Basic Shop Tools

- Trim Stick

- Wooden Stick (11 mm thick)

- Washers to shim the window regulator (approximately 1.6 mm thick)

- Window Regulator
