Procedure A: Replacing Door Window Regulator
1. Remove the door trim panel.2. Remove the door window.
3. Operate the window regulator (either by manual crank or power button) and observe its movement. The normal movement of the window regulator should be smooth (no binding) going either up or down. If the regulator operates normally, reinstall the door window and go to PROCEDURE B. If it does not operate normally, install a new window regulator. Refer to the Parts Information section for window regulator part numbers.
4. After replacing the window regulator, reinstall the door window and check its operation. If the window operates normally, reinstall the door panel trim and return the vehicle to the customer. If the door window is still difficult to operate, go to PROCEDURE B.
NOTE:
When reinstalling the door panel trim, be sure the upper clips attaching the door panel trim to the window sill are completely seated. Failure to seat one or more of the clips can cause binding during window operation.
