Purpose
This bulletin outlines a procedure to follow when diagnosing customer complaints related to "in-tank" conditions causing fuel starvation. Fuel starvation can occur when the in-tank fuel filter becomes clogged. Typically, clogging will occur when contaminated fuel is inadvertently added to the tank.NOTE:
If a fuel system malfunction still exists after performing the procedure in this bulletin, refer to the vehicle's Service Manual for further information on diagnosis and repair.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
All vehicles with an in-tank electric fuel pump are affected by this bulletin. The list of affected vehicles includes: (see illustration).
