Removal

Fig. 1 Hub & Knuckle Assembly Removal:

Remove knuckle and hub assembly in numbered sequence, Fig. 1, noting the following:
1. Loosen driveshaft nut with vehicle on floor and brakes applied.
2. Remove speed sensor mounting bolts, then the sensor. Use care not to damage pole piece at tip of speed sensor and the toothed edge of the rotor.
3. Remove and suspend caliper assembly using a piece of wire.

4. Insert pry bar between transaxle case and driveshaft, Fig. 2, then pry driveshaft from transaxle. Do not pull on driveshaft.
