GENERATOR AND IGNITION SYSTEM

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Removal Steps 1-16:






INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS




C CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR INSTALLATION (DOHC)
1. Turn the crankshaft so that the No.1 cylinder is at top dead center.
2. Align the punch mark on the crankshaft position sensor housing with the notch in plate.
3. Install the crankshaft position sensor on the cylinder head.

D DRIVE BELT TENSION ADJUSTMENT

ADJUSTER TYPE




1. Adjust belt tension for the standard value by turning the adjusting screw while checking the tension using a tension gauge.




If no tension gauge is available, adjust the belt deflection for the standard value. When using this method, apply a force of 98 N (22 lbs) at the center of the belt span between the pulleys specified in the illustration.




Standard value:




2. Tighten the lock bolt to the specified torque.
3. Tighten the nut for the pivot bolt to the specified torque.

BRACE BOLT TYPE




1. Move generator to adjust belt deflection to standard value.

Standard value: 7.0-10.0 mm (0.28-0.39 in.)




2. Tighten the brace bolt to the specified torque.
3. Tighten the nut for the pivot bolt to the specified torque.
