Disassembly/Inspection/Assembly

1. Remove boot ring.
2. Place rag in front of piston, then remove piston and dust boot by applying compressed air through brake hose fitting hole. Keep fingers clear of front of piston.
3. Remove piston seal. Use caution not to scratch the cylinder walls.
4. Remove sleeve and boot from caliper body.
5. Check cylinder and piston for wear, damage and/or corrosion. Repair or replace as required.
6. Check caliper body and sleeve for wear. Replace as required.
7. Apply suitable brake fluid to the cylinder walls.
8. Apply an even coat of suitable grease to the new piston seal, then install seal in cylinder.
9. Install piston into cylinder. Use caution not to twist piston seal.
10. Apply suitable grease to dust boot, then install boot on piston.
11. Attach piston boot onto cylinder with the boot ring.
12. Apply suitable grease to sliding parts of caliper body and sleeves, guide pin and lockpin boot.
