Dash Board Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove center console as follows:

a. Remove side panel hole covers, Fig. 12.
b. Remove side cover (A) and (B).
c. On models with manual transaxle, remove manual shift lever knob.
d. Remove cup holder and carpet.
e. Disconnect console electrical harness connector.
f. Disconnect (PWR/ECONOMY, ECO) changeover switch electrical connector.
g. Remove guide ring and shoulder belt.
h. Remove console assembly.

3. Remove knee protector hole covers, Fig. 13.
4. Remove knee protector assembly and hood lock release handle.
5. Remove steering column upper and lower covers.
6. Remove instrument panel cover (A).
7. Remove cluster panel (A) and radio panel.
8. Remove radio and center air outlet assembly.
9. Remove dial knob (A) and cluster panel assembly (B).
10. Remove glove compartment stopper and glove compartment assembly.
11. Remove combination meter.
12. Disconnect speedometer cable at transaxle, then slightly pull cable outward from inside vehicle.
13. Release speedometer lock by turning to the right or left, then remove speedometer cable adapter.
14. Remove speaker bezel.
15. Remove bracket from center of instrument panel.
16. Remove heater control assembly retaining screw.
17. Remove lap cooler duct and left side shower duct.
18. Remove steering column retaining bolt.
19. Remove instrument panel retaining screw and bolt.
20. Remove instrument panel assembly.
21. Reverse procedure to install.
