Ball Joint: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect strut bar from control arm.
2. Remove ball joint to control arm retaining nuts and bolts, then separate ball joint from control arm.
3. Remove ball joint stud nut, then separate ball joint from steering knuckle using suitable tool.
4. Install ball joint to control arm, then tighten retaining nuts and bolts to specification.
5. Install ball joint stud into steering knuckle, then tighten ball joint stud nut to specification.
6. Loosely install strut bar to control arm, then lower vehicle to floor. Tighten strut bar to control arm retaining nuts and bolts to specification.
