Ignition Cable: Description and Operation

Purpose
The spark plug wires connect the terminals in the distributor cap to the spark plugs, allowing high Voltage to flow to the spark plugs.

NOTE: The ignition wires have an internal resistance to suppress radio static and to eliminate static that may interfere with sensitive computer components.
