Air Bypass Valve, Turbocharger

Intercooler, Piping And Components:

1. Remove the air bypass valve. Refer to COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES.

Air Bypass Valve Vacuum Test:

2. Connect a hand vacuum pump to the fitting of the air bypass valve.
3. Apply a vacuum of approx. 15.7 in.Hg., Check that the valve starts to open, and that the valve holds vacuum without bleeding off.
