1. Disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Remove air cleaner assembly.
3. Drain clutch system fluid.
4. Remove clutch control components in numbered sequence shown in Figs. 14 and 15, noting the following:
a. Disconnect clutch hose from tube by securing nut on clutch hose and loosen flare nut on clutch tube. Remove clip from clutch hose to remove clutch hose from bracket.
b. On 3000GT AWD models, use a flat type box wrench to remove clutch release cylinder bolts.
5. Reverse procedure to install, temporarily tightening flare nut by hand, then tighten it to specified torque ensuring that clutch hose does not become twisted.
6. On 3000GT AWD models, adjust clearance between clutch booster pushrod and piston as outlined under ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES/CLUTCH BOOSTER PUSHROD & PISTON CLEARANCE.
7. On all models, rearm airbag system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
