PURPOSE

This bulletin illustrates the direction in which the Tripod Joint (TJ) spider assembly is installed on the driveshaft of 1990-91 Eclipse, 1989-91 Galant and 1985-91 Mirage vehicles.

DESCRIPTION

Two different TJ assemblies may be encountered when servicing the front driveshaft of affected vehicles. One has a chamfered edge (Type A), the other has a recessed edge (Type B).

When installing either type, make sure the chamfered or recessed edge is facing the splines of the driveshaft.
