Shift Cable: Adjustments

Fig. 5 Shift Lock Cable Adjustment:

1. With selector lever in ``P'' position, install end of shift lock cable to shift lock lever.
2. Pull shift lock cable in direction indicated in Fig. 5 until resistance is felt and adjust so spring hook projection of shift lock lever is positioned within range marked A in Fig. 5 relative to spring pin.
3. Move shift lock cable toward lower end of cable attaching bracket and tighten nut.
4. Ensure stop light comes on when brake pedal is depressed.
