Fig. 24 Replacing Trailing Arm:

1. Remove trailing arm in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 24, noting the following:
a. Using ball joint remover tool No. MB991113-01 or equivalent, remove knuckle from lower arm, upper arm and assist link.
b. Do not remove nut from ball joint. Suspend special tool with a rope to prevent it from dropping.
2. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install stabilizer link as describer under STABILIZER BAR.
b. Check wheel alignment.
c. Check operation of parking brake.
