EGR Thermo Valve

Thermo Valve Location:

The EGR thermo valve, located on the thermostat housing, is a thermo-wax valve. As the engine temperature rises above a preset point, a wax element in the unit expands moving a mechanical valve in the unit. This closes off the vented port (closing the valve) providing vacuum to the EGR valve.
