OPERATION

The ON (P or N) or OFF (except N and P) signal of the inhibitor switch is input to ECU. According to the signal, ECU judges whether the transmission is in neutral or in the drive range, drives the ISC servo system and controls the idle revolution speed.


TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS

The control cable between the shift lever and the inhibitor switch may be adjusted improperly. The ignition switch system may be defective.
