Clearing Diagnostic Codes and Label Installation
1. Connect a Multi-Use Tester to the vehicle's diagnostic connector.
2. From the MUT's main menu, select the correct year/vehicle and then the MPI system. Check if any MPI system diagnostic codes exist. If there are any MPI system diagnostic codes, erase them using the MUT.
EMISSION LABEL INSTALLATION
1. Two Emission Recall Completed Labels are contained in the emission parts kit. For this recall, choose the label with "MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE" printed on it. Discard the other unused label
Note: The "MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE" label is printed with BLACK ink (Figure 6).
2. Write in your 5-digit dealer code under the white flap on the Emission Recall Completed Label (Figure 6).
3. Carefully remove the whfte paper from the backside of the flap. Press the now clear flap portion onto the label.
4. Carefully remove all dirt and oil from the vacant area BELOW the existing emission label. Affix the Emission Recall Completed Label BELOW the existing emission label (Figure 7).
