SUBJECT: ECLIPSE A/C INSTALLATION MANUAL
SUPPLEMENT


PURPOSE

This bulletin provides supplemental instructions for use with existing A/C Installation Manuals to install A/C systems on 1990 and 1991 Eclipse GSX. These instructions cover installing the A/C compressor bracket on All Wheel Drive models.

INSTRUCTIONS

Before filing this bulletin in your Dealer Service Information Binder, remove the two singlepage supplemental instructions attached to this bulletin and insert each one between pages 20 and 21 in your 1990 and 1991 Eclipse Air Conditioning Installation Manuals.

SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL WHEEL DRIVE ECLIPSE GSX (To be Inserted between pages 20 and 21)


NOTE:

The installation procedures required for the FWD Turbo are also followed for the All Wheel Drive "GSX" model For the All Wheel Drive "GSX" model, the installation procedures for the compressor bracket are described below.

Figure 28A:

FOR ALL WHEEL DRIVE "GSX" MODELS ONLY (FIGURE 28A)

e. Remove original bolt "B" and discard collar.

g. Remove original bolt "A".

f. Install the compressor bracket and the center bearing bracket to the engine block using original bolts "A" and "B" bolts (M10xL65) and (M10xL25) provided in the kit.

Tightening Torque:
Original Bolts "A" and "B" - 410 kgf-cm (29.6 ft.lbs.)
M10 Bolt 620 kgf-cm (44.9 ft.lbs.)


Discard the extra bolt (M10xL25) provided in the kit.
