Supplemental Dealer Information
At the beginning of this campaign launch, all affected Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINS) will be loaded into the MMSA Diamond Network system regardless of customer notification letter distribution sequence. This means dealers could perform this campaign procedure before the customer receives their notification letter if verification of involvement is made.Should a dealer suspect that a vehicle is involved in this campaign and the customer has not yet been notified, input the vehicle's VIN into the Diamond Network Warranty System through the "E11" "Vehicle Information Request" menu selection screen (see sample) to verify that the vehicle is actually affected.
If this campaign is performed before the owner receives their notification letter, please inform the customer that their vehicle is affected by this campaign, receive the customer's permission to perform the campaign, and then perform this campaign. Upon completion of the required repairs, indicate to the customer that the campaign has been performed and that if the customer receives a notification letter regarding this campaign, no further action is necessary.
