Cooling System: Description and Operation

With the output of the air conditioning control unit in ``LO,'' and when coolant temperatures reaches approximately 185°F, the thermo sensor contacts close, providing a ground circuit to the fan relay, which provides voltage to the fan motor.

If thermo sensor is On when coolant temperature is above 185°F, the condenser fan motor relay will be On, causing the condenser fan and radiator fan to be on high speed.
