When you inspect body seams and joints for leaks, don't assume that a generous coating of sealant automatically means a watertight seal. It only takes a small bubble of trapped air to cause a pinhole that can let in water. In time, even a small leak can undermine heavy sealant applications. For long term, it's safer to clean off and reseal any doubtful spots in the sealant using brush on sealer (Figure 10).
