Hood Pin Switch Installation

1. Bend the pinswitch mounting bracket 1/8" as shown in Figure 29.

2. Install the bracket using the existing vehicle ground screw (Figure 30, left of the VIN Plate, on the engine side of the bulkhead) with the bracket flush against the bulkhead and the ground wires between the bolt head and the bracket.

3. Cut off the top two segments from the hood pin switch (Figure 31) and file the end flat. Fit and secure the hood pinswitch to the mounting bracket using the supplied nut and lock washer.

4. Route the black pin switch wire to the pin switch and connect. Pull the excess black wire into the passenger compartment. Coil and wire tie the excess under the carpet. Using silicone sealant, seal the hole In the rubber steering cover.
