OPERATION
The engine coolant temperature sensor is provided on the thermostat case, being one type of the resistor which detects the engine coolant temperature.
The warm-up state of the engine is judged from the output Voltage, and when the engine is cold, the fuel injection amount, the idle revolution speed and the ignition timing are suitably controlled.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
When it is troubled, the engine coolant temperature is regarded as 80°C (176°F) for control. Engine starting may be defective. driveability may become poor and idling may be unstable at the cold time or in the winter. The trouble can hardly be felt when the engine coolant is warmed up.
